Hi Art,

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.

Take care

Hilary ~ WikiTree Greeter

Hi Hilary, Thanks for the attachment. I have saved it to my files for a reference point. Regards, Art

I also have a small Remark.

Acording the Dutch Name Convention, you never use a uppercase letter for van or de, but a lowercase, because van means: from or of, de means: the, in common ways.

Hi Art, I have added the Birth and Deceased data of Johannes van Eck.

You can find the rest of the children on the same site. Cheers Herman

Hi Art

I'm looking forward to working with you on those profiles!

Karen ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hey Art,

When you go back and source a profile you created, don't forget to remove the "{Unsourced}" template at the top. :) That will make sure that your profiles don't show up in the Unsourced categories still. Thanks!

Art, in the Dutch name convention we don't use a Capitol V in van Eck onely a lowercase v

Best Regards Herman

Yes Kay! Art is even capable of adding references now.

Art, I know you re busy at real and real is always in front/more important of WT! but if you have time we would be pleased if you like to join the DRP (the Dutch Roots Project). You can find how to join here. We re just a great bunch of volunteers that love to help eachother and have fun. The main goal of the DRP is to provide unsourced profiles at WT of sources. You re still in figuring out your familiy and we love to help you with that as you already know. But soon you will get along existing profiles here without good sources.

Join our bunch of friendly team please.

Hi Art,

Thanks for adding profiles to WikiTree! Please make sure they're not duplicates, and when you are ready, do you know how to add sources for your info? Here's a page with more information about sourcing: Kay Wilson

You're creating duplicate profiles. Please check more carefully before creating a new profile to make sure the person isn't already here on WikiTree. Thanks!

Hi Art,

Just a quick PS

Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

Best Wishes, and have fun adding your leaves and branches!

Thank you for volunteering!

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community! Please remember that we are trying to build one Collaborative Global Family Tree which means only one profile per person. It is important to ensure that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced.

To help you get started, check out an introductory WikiTree video that a member created. For member benefits, see our Community Members page.

We also have a Mentor Team who will be glad to answer questions and help you with any specific problems.

Welcome and Enjoy!

I have been interested in ancestry for several years and in the last 3, with my son, have traced my paternal family back to before 1000 AD., and maternal side to 1445 for one branch and mid 1700's on another. Although I prefer being outdoors, ancestry is a great rainy day project.
