She found the original in an old notebook belonging to her mother "soon after they moved on to Alafia, located on the Alafia River near Tampa. John Archibald was born here in 1872" This note is important because it establishes that John was born on the mainland side of Tampa Bay.

  9. The marriage was recorded in Sept 1901 in Hillsborough County Marriage Book Q, page 34. The marriage date is recorded as 19 June 1901 which is consistent with when they acquired the marriage license. However, Clara's mother made numerous entries in her diary regarding Clara's marriage, always using the date 26 Jun 1901 (one month after her son Irvin's marriage). It is my current thought that the minister found the certificate in September, remembered that he had married them on a Wednesday, and recorded the ceremony as performed on the Wednesday closest to the date of the license. Campbell-19801 and Campbell-15401 appear to represent the same person because: Aunt Jo Anne,

I'm not positive on this merge for John Archibald Campbell, husband of Clara and father of Lois. The death date I have for John A Campbell is 28 Sep 1916. I've got his obituary and headstone picture that both have that year of death. Have I got the wrong John Archibald?
