Percy was born on Aug 25, 1893. He was the son of George Campbell and Minnie Coffey. He passed away on May 05, 1957.

Obituary

ROCKFISH VALLEY-Percy Hampton Campbell, 63, died unexpectedly at his home in Lynchburg Sunday morning. Mr. Campbell was born in Nelson County and when a boy lived in the Beech Grove community, this valley. He was the oldest son of the late George Stratton Campbell and Mrs. Minnie Coffey Campbell, both of Nelson County. A member of West Lynchburg Baptist Church, he was employed as forestry officer at Miller Park in Lynchburg. Mr. Campbell was also a Navy veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Louise Tomlinson Campbell, at home; one son, Stanley H. Campbell, of Lynchburg; one brother, Leslie Campbell of Lynchburg; two sisters, Mrs. Tiny C. Lofles and Mrs. Christie Patterson, both of Lynchburg; also a stepmother, Mrs. Florrie Campbell, of Arlington, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Hudson Roseberry, of Memphis, Tenn, and Mrs. Robert W. Gaines Jr. of Lake Katrine, N. Y. Mr. Campbell's brother, Stanley Campbell, died some years ago and his oldest sister, Mrs. Mamie Bernice Parker, of Lynchburg, died just a few weeks ago. Funeral services were conducted from the Whitten Funeral Home, Lynchburg, at 4 p.m. Monday. Interment was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Lynchburg.
