from Descendants of Phillip Phelps, p21:
"He [Roy Phelps] married (2) Florence D. Campbell May 10. 1919, in Galena, Jo Daviess County, Illinois. She was born about 1901, probably in Dubuque, Dubuque County, Iowa. She died unknown. She was the daughter of John Campbell and Mary Hannon. Earl left Dubuque sometime between February, 1920, and late 1921. He headed for the San Francisco area. It is not known what happened to Florence. A grandson of Earl seems to think that she left Dubuque with Earl but they were divorced before they reached the west coast."
