The date of the marriage is often transcribe in correctly showing Jan rather than Dec. That it is the latter is clear when examining the original document althought the 'Dec' is difficult to read. For assurance, one can see that top of the page shows 'Nov 1825' and the first entry has '7 Nov' the next has '21st' and the third entry 'Dec 3rd' with subsequent entries having the day of month only in chronological order.
The death date does not have primary sources but we do know that there was a probate initiated on 1 Nov 1841 by his wife. [4] Additionally, he was mentioned as deceased in his father's will written in 1844[2] and that he was alive in 1840 as he shows in the census[1] (William Jr on page 70 and William Sr on page 71).
