Birth*: Penelope was born at Malignant Brook, Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.[1] Marriage*: She married Hugh MacIsaac at Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.[1] Married Name: Her married name was MacIsaac.
Son Angus
Hugh MacIsaac, brother of Duncan and Angus, went to Southwest Margaree in 1822, married to Penelope Campbell, daughter of Donald, of Doctor's Brook.
Hugh MacIsaac (pioneer) removed from South River to South West Margaree, not far from his brother Archibald. He married Penelope Campbell of Malignant Brook, Antigonish County, and they had ten children: Angus, Donald, John, Archibald, Mary, Catherine, Margaret, Sarah, Janet (Jessie), and Ann.
I'm making some tenuous connections with this MacIsaac family, but the name "Penelope" with it's root in Hugh MacIsaac's wife Penelope Campbell, appears to be a unique feature of this family. It is not a very common name among the Scots of the region at this time and the Penny MacIsaacs (and others through their mothers) sprinkled around Inverness County (specifically originating in Margaree) seem to be largely descended from that pair.
