If Ken will not be adding anymore and your data is correct then you can remove the incorrect people from the edit tab on their profile page and those that are correct edit the facts that your data proves. It might be a time consuming exercise, and as we are trying to make this site as accurate as possible, if you were able to do this it would be a great help to us, and will be very much appreciated
Take care Karen
I have had a look and Tim is the only person who has edited the profile for Nero Campbell, and he was the last Campbell that Tim has entered on WT. Unfortunately with common surnames like Campbell it can be easy to follow a wrong branch, which is why we ask members to add valid sources to verify the facts that they enter on profiles, some people upload GEDCOMs and then do not check for valid sources and many of them do not contribute to WT after, we have some project like Data Doctors, Arbourists, Rangers and others who are actively correcting profiles and adding valid sources, it is very time consuming and from my experience spending 1at least hour adding sources and a biography, so we are not able to do as many as we would wish to, so I completely understand you would rather not do that and just concentrate on your own branch of the tree.
I am in England so there is quite a time difference between us, as we are a collaboration site we do like other members to add missing information to profiles that has already been created, so my suggestion would be to just work on your own branch and hopefully at some point we can get all the incorrect information removed.
I hope this answers all you points, if not please let me know, we would hate to lose you
Take care Karen
Thank you for your message. We hope all information on here is as accurate as possible, which is why we ask for sources for all information added. I think your best bet would be to contact the profile manager Tim Philips and ask him how confident he is that he has the correct parents, unfortunately errors happen, and we welcome members letting us know when they spot an error. It all helps us to make sure the information as as accurate as possible Take care Karen
I am pleased to confirm and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site
Happy tree climbing
