Biography

James was born in 1835. He was the son of Henry Campbell and Maria Covert. John enlisted in the Union Army at Butler, Pennsylvania on the 31st of August 1861. His unit was Company C of the 1ooth Regiment of the Pennsylvania Infantry. He transferred to the 2nd Regiment Veteran's Reserve Unit on June 5th 1864.

He passed away in 1916.
