Biography

Hubert L. Campbell was born 16 Jul 1886^[1] in Kansas.^[1] He was the second of ten children of Lafayette Campbell^[1] and Ida Alice "Allie" Crews.^[1]

Hubert moved with the family from Kansas to Oklahoma when he was a very young boy, some time between Jul 1889 and Sep 1891 (this is known from his siblings' date and place of birth^[1]).

By the 1900 census Lafayette and Ida were farming on their homestead in Antelope Township, Logan County, Oklahoma Territory and had 7 children:^[1] Thomas F. (age 15, born Sep 1884), Hubert L. (age 13, born Jul 1886), May (age 12, born Apr 1887), Marquis (age 10, born Jul 1889), Ruth (age 8, born Sep 1891), George W. (age 6, born Jan 1894), Anna L. (age 1, born May 1899).

Hubert immigrated to Alberta, Canada, as a young man. He was the father of several children including Robert Campbell.
