John Campbell of Barbreck was born about 1700 the son of Archibald Campbell (1661 - 1742) and Barbara Stewart (1661 - ).

He married 13 April 1723 Elizabeth Hay at Campbeltown, Argyll, Scotland.^[1]

There were at least eight children from this marriage:
