Biography

Guy was born in 1895.[1] He was the son of Thomas Campbell and Sarah Tate.

He served in World War I and received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army - July 8, 1919.[2]

Occupation: Blacksmith/Machinist - Retired from the Union Pacific Railroad

Guy lived at 3011 Enoch Ave in Zion, Illinois; his neighbor was Celia Brownlow who lived at 3009 Enoch Ave.

He married Celia Brownlow, 21 Feb 1920.[3]

He passed away in 1979[4] and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Utah.[5]

Guy C. Campbell, 84, died October 22, 1979, in a local hospital of natural causes. Born August 5, 1895, at Sault St. Marie Michigan to Thomas and Sara Tate Campbell. He was married February 21, 1920, to Celia Brownlow, Salt Lake City, Utah. He retired in 1968 as a machinist helper for the U.P.R.R. He grew up at Zion, Illinois, and came to Utah 30 years ago. He was a member of the Bountiful Community Church, Union Pacific Old Timers Club 12, Senior Citizens, F&AM 31 of Bountiful. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corp in Germany and France, World War I.
Survivors: wife, Woods Cross; one daughter, Mrs. Jed (Carol) Willhite, Bountiful, three grandchildren, Calvin Willhite, Dartmouth, New Hampshire; Bruce Willhite, Bountiful, Miss Catherine Willhite, Bountiful; one brother, Erwin E. Campbell, Provo.
Funeral services will beheld Thursday, October 25, 1979, at 11:00 a.m. at the Linquist Bountiful Mortuary. Friends may call one our prior to service. Internment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, in Salt Lake City.
