Biography

Pierre Antoine was born 12 Mar 1700. He was the son of Marc Antoine Canac and his wife Jeanne Norice. He was baptized 2 days later in Notre-Dame-de-Québec, godparents were Pierre Aubert de Gaspé (signs: Pierre Aubert de Gaspee) and Marie Claire Ruette D'Auteuil wife of Antoine Decrisafy, both sign along with the father^[1].

On 30 Jan 1726, in Ste-Famille de L'Île-d'Orléans, Antoine Canac son of Marc Antoine Canac and Jeanne Nourice married Catherine Loignon daughter of Charles Loignon and Marie Roulois. Witnesses include both fathers who sign along with several others but the bride and groom cannot sign. ^[2]

On 16 Jul 1736, in Charlesbourg, Antoine Canac widower of Catherine Loignon married Catherine Davion daughter of deceased Jacques Davion and deceased Suzanne Hude. Several named relatives, no signatures. ^[3]

Antoine Canac, 60 year old widower of Marie Catherine Boisjoli died 11 Apr 1756 1758. He was buried the next day in Sainte-Famille de L'Île-d'Orléans. ^[4]
