How are you? I'm David a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile.
Hi Angela, I see that you just volunteered and signed our honor code. That's great! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Why don't you stop by the Canadian History Project, (currently led/coordinated by Mags Gaulden to see how you can participate? I'll let the leaders know you are interested!
Or you might want to stop by the Project List to see how you can participate?
You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree. Thank you for joining us!
Check out our page on How to use WikiTree. Many groups under Find -> Projects are collaborating on research, and are seeking new members on the Volunteers Needed page.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, so we all work together as one collaborative team.
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to tell us about your genealogical interests as you join.
Once you volunteer to help build our global tree, our greeters will confirm your membership, and youll be on your way!
Welcome to the family! Were really glad youre here.

Sources are critically important for genealogy and you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from. This page describes sources and how to enter sources.
Family Search and Find a Grave are free websites for finding sources:

And I'm here to help too, just ask!
