WILLIAM CANADAY was born about 1639 in England or more likely in Prince George, Somerset, Maryland, where his father, Cornelius Cannady (ca. 1601-after 1659), migrated. His mother, Susannah Byard (ca. 1615-1661) was from Sandhurst, Gloucestershire.

He married Anne Fisher 26 Apr 1668 in Somerset County, Maryland.[1]
