Biography

Samuel Canby was the son of Samuel Canby and Elizabeth Woolston. His birth was recorded by the Elkridge Preparative Meeting.[1] and also the Baltimore Monthly Meeting[2] The year after his birth the family removed to the Baltimore Meeting of Friends at Stony Run. He married Maria Louisa Knight, the daughter of Isaac Knight and his wife Juliana, on 11 May 1848[3] Samuel died 31 Aug 1878[4]
