He married Emma Bethel, daughter of Albert Bethel and Caroline Amelia Minns Bethel, 14 December 1921 in Nassau, Bahamas. The couple had children - among them Joan Delores Cancino, John Audley "Jack" Cancino, Jeffrey Donald Cancino, Peter David Cancino, and Brenda Carolyn Cancino.
