Biography

Lucy B Candler was enumerated as daughter of the head of household in Edgewood (excl. Atlanta city), Fulton County, Georgia for the June 25, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born April 1883 in Georgia, single and at school as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Asa G Candler, wife Lucy E Candler, son Chas H Candler, son Asa G Candler, son Walter T Candler, son Wm Candler, servant Mollie Jones and son (of servant) Harvey Jones.[1]

L B Owens was enumerated as wife of the head of household at 61 Elizabeth Street, Atlanta Ward 9, Fulton County, Georgia for the April 19, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1883 in Georgia and had been married six years. She was the mother of one child and this child was living as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head W D Owens, daughter E Owens and servant L Bader.[2]

Lucy C Heinz was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at 1040 Ponce de Leon Avenue, Atlanta, DeKalb County, Georgia for the January 11, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1884 in Georgia and married as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Asa G Candler, son-in-law Henry C Heinz, grandson Henry C Heinz, granddaughter Elizabeth Owens and grandson William Owens.[3]

Lucy Belle Candler was listed as the mother in the Emory University, DeKalb County September 17, 1934 Georgia Death of daughter Lucy Emilie Heinz. The father was listed as Henry C Heinz.[4]

Lucy Candler was listed as the mother in the Atlanta, DeKalb County December 30, 1934 Georgia Death of daughter. Elizabeth Candler Owens Vann. The father was listed as W D Owens. (Note: The reference incorrectly lists the name as Chandler, rather than Candler.) [5]

Her husband Henry Heinz was shot in 1943 in their home by an intruder.

Marriage to Enrio Leide in 1945 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, USA

She died 3 Sep 1962, aboard the steamship HMS Caronia during a Mediterranean Cruise
