Noble David Candler was a sickly child and young adult. He contracted what is though to have been Meningitis, which left him mentally handicapped.

It is shown in an image of the original along with S C Candler, Martha B, Milton and E S. On the following page in this same census, but dated April 10th, as seen in an image of the original, are Julia F Candler, Sarah J, Wm B and Ezekiel F (this must be Elizabeth incorrectly enumerated).
Noble D Candler was enumerated for the United States Census, 1860 along with S C Candler, Martha B Candler, Ezekiel S Candler, Florence Candler, Jessie D Candler, Wm B Candler, Eliza F Candler, Asa G Candler, Charles C Candler, and Warren A Candler at the 2nd District, Carroll County, Georgia.
Noble D Candler is noted as an idiot on the 1870 census. He was enumerated on June 9th for the United States Census, 1870 at the Villa Rica Post Office in Villa Rica District, Carroll County, Georgia as seen in the image of the original. He is on page 4 of the census, with; Samuel C Candler, Martha and Mary J. On page 5 are listed Charles C Candler. Warren A, John A and another listed as "works on farm", Edmund H Holland.
Noble Candler was enumerated as brother at Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia for the June 8, United States Census, 1880. He was noted as born 1850 in Georgia and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Asa Candler, wife Lucy Candler, son Charlie U Candler, mother-in-law S C Candler?, other Fany Walker, other Ella Walker and brother John Candler, as well as a host of boarders named Hall.
He passed away in 1887.
Noble Daniel Candler is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery in Villa Rica, Carroll County, Georgia.
