Biography
Kate was born about 1851. She was the daughter of James Candy and Eliza Candy.
She married George Hillary on 31 December 1868 in Lindridge, Worcester, England.[1]
They had 3 children before they emigrated from England to South Africa, travelling on the ship Durban, arriving into Durban, Natal on 24 March 1876.
They had at least 3 more children after their arrival in South Africa.
Her husband passed away in 1896.
Kate passed away in 1918 at the age of 67. Cause of Death: Asthma/Cardiac Failure[2]
