- 1791/2/28, Will of William Cannaday. Names “loving Wife”, son William, land that was laid for him by William Martin, after his death to Sary Huddleston, wife of Thomas Huddleston. Fifty acres held from sale to John Ashwell property adjoining John Ayers. Names dts. Mary Kasey, Margaret Hews, Init Sillivant and Elizabeth Martin. Also Isabella Key, Sarah Huddleston special mention. His wife gets one-third. John Ayres and Henry Woody appointed as executors. Witnessed in presence of: John Ashwell, Elisha Burnit, Patrick Lynch, Bedford Co VA wb 2, 52-54.
His son William: 1796/12/26, Kannaday, William to Thomas Huddleston, interest in tract “if the above TTH shall provide for said Wm Kannaday a sufficient...to be used... 100lbs, witnessed by David Hughes, James Kasey, Bedford Co VA db10, 231.
1797/2/27, Kannaday, William to John Macoy, quit claim on land “lease”, noted as land and plantation, Bedford Co VA db 10, 260.
