Biography
Giovanni Cannaliato (spelled Candaliato in his baptismal record) is born and baptized 3 August 1831, named after his paternal grandfather. He is the son of Pasquale Cannaliato and Francesca Grizzaffi. His godparents are Maestro Vincenzo and Paola Badulato, a married couple.[1]
Giovanni marries Anna Maria Provenzano, daughter of Giovanni Provenzano and Antonina Riina, on 14 October 1855.[2]
Ten years later, Giovanni's brother, Calogero, marries Anna Maria's sister, Vita.[3]
Death of Giovanni
Giovanni dies on 12 September 1872 at age 41. (The report of his death gives his age as 45.) His parents and wife survive him.[4]
