I triple majored at The University of Tampa graduating Cum Laude in 1980, earned my Master of Arts degree with distinction from Drew University in 1981, and ultimately earned my Ph.D. with distinction from Vanderbilt University in 1989. Hello Peter,

You have recently been making several changes on existing profiles, and creating duplicates of existing profiles also. While we appreciate your wanting to add to our family tree, I would suggest that you do searches for individuals for profiles dating before around 1750 in both modern-day Québec and in Acadie.

Also, please read the guidelines on names and location names in the https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Projects#Qu.C3.A9b.C3.A9cois Québécois project page. There is no such thing as middle names in French, they are all given names.

Thank you.

Danielle, project coordinator

Congratulations in getting back before 1700! Since you are now back in the time period where many people can be descended from those ancestors, we need more details in your source area. As collaborative genealogists, we need to tell each other our sources so that we can work together to assess the relative reliability of the source and the evidence it contains. See the help page here https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles

Hello Mr. Cannella. I am Joshua Truksa, descendant of Castrenze and Angela Salemi of Corleone if this particular WikiTree tree is reliable. According to the tree, they were ancestors of my 4th-great-grandmother, Carmela Gaglianello. I wanted to know your source for the information in the profile of Angela Salemi (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Unknown-457897). Have there been any developments on what her maiden name may have been?

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After Adopting Orphans to understand what to do next. As you know have more than 175 unsourced profiles to work, please refrain from further adoptions.

My family tree presents the genealogy of the Cannella/DiGirolamo family of Muro Lucano, Italy and the Gennaro/Carrubba family of Corleone, Italy. Please contribute if you have any accurate information to add. Feel free to use my information in your tree if we are somehow related.
