Unknown Canning, daughter of William Canning by his wife Rachel (Ormeshaw), married Thomas Church, agent for the Mercers' Company in Londonderry. (Her given name may have been Mary.) They occupied the castle at Movanagher (burned in 1641 at outset of the rebellion).
