CANNON
My paternal line started with Samuel Carnahan who immigrated from Northern Ireland to Blandford, Mass. The rest of my generations are John Carnahan, John Cannon, Stephen, Willis, Cassius Marcellus, Frank Hopkins, Frank Fountain, Frank Boelter, Frank Nickolas (NIck) -- me. From Blandford, MA Stephen moved to Portage Co, Ohio. Then eventually South Dakota, and then to the west coast.
CLICK
My maternal grandmother's paternal grandfather was Abram Click born around 1830 probably in Louisville, KY. He moved to Minn then finally to Kansas. Have no idea who is parents were. A man who followed him through most of his life was Moses Click. I believe Moses must have been a brother or cousin.
FOUNTAIN
My paternal grandfather was Frank Fountain Canon. His mother was Nellie Annie "Nell" (Fountain) . Her father was Charles Arthur Fountain. His father was George Hiram Fountain. His father was Hiram Fountain. That is as far back as we know. Hiram was born 1 May 1807 near the border with Canada (Quebec) in Swanton, Franklin County, Vermont, USA. I would guess that he was French Canadian and perhaps the original name was La Fountaine. I simply don't know for sure.
MAYFLOWER
My gg grandmother, Jennie E (Hopkins) Cannon was a descendant of multiple signers of the Mayflower Compact. The most obvious one was Stephen Hopkins. Others in her ancestry include: John Alden, Governor William Bradford, Rev. WIlliam Brewster, Peter Browne.
DNA Tested

Hi Nick,

We used to have a DAR template. They made us remove it. Please read the g2g here for why we do not have one now.

Thanks!

Nick, Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.
