Biography

Samuel was born 4/5/1851 in Oregon. He was the son of Louis Cannon and Mary Smith. In 1860 Samuel was living with his parents and siblings in Santa Rosa Township, Sonoma, California. In 1870 he was living with his mother and siblings in Analy Judicial Township, Sonoma, California. In 1880 he was living with his brother Jerome who was a dairyman in Tomales, Marin, California. By 1900 he was an inmate in the California Home for the Care and Training of Feeble-Minded Children, ED 212, Sonoma, California. Samuel died 2/6/1909 and is buried with family members in the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery (Plot Fulkerson 53).
