Biography

Asa was a son of Jacob Canterbury and Azubah (White) Canterbury. He was born at Weymouth, Massachusetts in about 1783. He married Susannah Ager, daughter of Jonathan and Sarah (Pratt) Ager, at Weymouth on 1 July, 1805.[1]

Asa died in Weymouth at age 48 on 25 or 26 July 1831. His wife survived him; she died in Weymouth on 25 August 1844. Their children are documented in the probate record for the estate settlement after her death. [1]

Research Notes

Note NI05646Seven children, of whom one was a minor in 1844. (Norfolk Probate, 3113.) Other heirs in 1844 were Susan, Wilson, Jr., Francis and Mary Tirrell, minors under guardianship of Wilson Tirrell, Sr.[1]
