Biography

William was born in 1854. He passed away in 1938.

At age 16 he was helping out on his father's farm in Fort Mitchell, Russell County, Alabama. ^[1] He returned to South Carolina and took up farming in Saint Pauls County. ^[2] In 1900 he was working for the US Internal Revenue Service as a clerk in Atlanta, Georgia. ^[3]
