Biography
Maud's birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1877 in the Monmouth district.[1] (he district Monmouth spans the boundaries of the counties of Monmouthshire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.)
In the 1881 census Maude (age 3), Scholar, was the daughter of Henry Cantle in West Dean (Gloucs), Monmouthshire, Wales.[2]
In the 1891 census Maud (age 13), Scholar, was the niece of John Salter and Eliza Jane (Cantle) Salter in Gloucestershire, England.[3]
