son of Levi, was born January 6, 1826, near Cantrall, Ill. He grew to manhood on his father's farm. When he was five years old he fell from a rail fence and hurt his left leg which caused a white swelling. After years of suffering, his leg was amputated. Mr. Cantrall was married thee times. First to Emily M. Vandergrift. Two children were born to them, and she died, and he married Lucy A. Swearengen. One child was born, and she died. April 26, 1855, Mr. Cantrall married Harriet A. Graham. She was born February 17, 1826, in Athens, Illinois, her father, was Peter Graham, {information from book published in 1898 by Carmi G. Cantrell}.
