Milton was born in January 1838 in Warren County, Tennessee. He is the son of Ephraim Cantrell and Tabitha Hicks.
Milton served as a Corporal in Company A, 16th Regiment, Infantry, CSA. He died on 20 December 1862 as a result of wounds suffered at the Battle of Perryville, Boyle County, Kentucky in October 1862.[1]
