Descendant of William Cantrell, the first Cantrell in North America. William arrived from England with Captain John Smith in Jamestown, Virginia on April 20, 1607

Biography

Narcissa was born in 1823. She was the daughter of Richard Cantrell and Constance Bethel. She passed away in October 1881 in Warren County, Tennessee and is buried in Evans Cemetery, McMinnville, Warren County.[1]

In 1850 Narcissa is in Franklin County, Illinois, living in the household of her sister and brother-in-law Jane (Cantrell) and John McFall. Nearby is the family of her brother Bethel Cantrell and his wife Mary (McFall) Cantrell.[2]

Narcissa married John Evans on 10 October 1853 in DeKalb County, Tennessee.[3]

In 1860 Narcissa and John are living in Warren County, Tennessee. In the household are children: Cemantha Evans (daughter of Narcissa, age 5), John Breckenridge (age 3) and Robert Breckinridge (age 1) . Not sure who John and Robert Breckinridge may be. Since John Evans is considerably older than Narcissa, it is possible John and Robert are his grandchildren.

Narcissa was born in 1823. She passed away in 1881. [4]
