Biography

Absalom was born in 1868. He passed away in 1934. This community was greatly shocked and saddened when word was received of the death of Mr. Clark Cantrell Wednesday. He died in Oklahoma City where he had been taken for treatment. Mr. Cantrell was held in high esteem by those who knew him. Burial was held at Crowder Springs Thursday, 2:30 afternoon. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.T. Bolding of the Soper Baptist church. Mr. Cantrell is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Frazier of Good Hill and Mrs. Smotherman of Jackson County, Oklahoma, and a son, Louis Cantrell of the home, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Among those from out of town to attend the funeral of Mr. Cantrell were Mr. and Mrs. Smotherman and daughter from Jackson County, Oklahoma, and Louis Cantrell of Cloudy, Oklahoma.
