COY CANTRELL Funeral services for Mr. Coy Cantrell, 87, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating.
Burial, with full military honors performed by James T. Davis Post 5067 Honor Guard, was in Liberty Cemetery.
Mr. Cantrell died Tuesday, Feb. 15 at Bethesda Healthcare Center in Cookeville. He was a retired painter and a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was of the Baptist faith.
Born June 5, 1917, in Overton County, he was the son of the late James Emelic and Lillie Ann (Vaughn) Cantrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Odean (Stout) Cantrell; and 3 sons, Carl Cantrell, J.E. Cantrell, and an infant son.
Survivors include a son and 2 daughters-in-law, Harold and Rita Cantrell of Ringgold, GA, and Bonnie Cantrell; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Cantrell and Fay and James West, all of Livingston; 2 sisters, Laura Dixon of Rickman and Winnie Lucas of Holland, MI; 3 grandchildren, Mark Cantrell and his wife, Jennifer, of Knoxville, James Cantrell and his wife, Kim, of the Independence community, and Ethan Cantrell of South Bend, IN; 3 great grandchildren, Cody Cantrell, Emily Cantrell, and Garret Cantrell; and a special niece, Geneva Lawson.
Pallbearers were Odell Cantrell, Roy Cantrell, Jimmy Dixon, Moe Wakefield, Michael Allred, and James West. Special care provided by Speck Funeral Home
