Biography

Joseph Caouette was born on 3 Nov 1795 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Monteregie Region, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Joseph-Marie Caouette (1763–1834) and Marie-Charlotte Coiteux Caouette. (1772–1834)

Joseph married Marguerite Olivier. They were the parents of Mother Catherine Aurelia, who was the foundress of The Precious Blood Monastery. She was canonized a saint in 2016.

Joseph was a Blacksmith.


He passed away in 1880 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Monteregie Region, Quebec, Canada.

Joseph was buried in Saint Hyacinthe le Confesseur Cemetery in Saint-Hyacinthe, Monteregie Region, Quebec, Canada.
