Edith Annie Cape's birth was registered in the June quarter of 1884 in the Scarborough Registration District ^[1].

In 1891 Edith was seven years old (born Scarborough and living with her parents Thomas P (42, a Painter, born Langtoft, Yorkshire) and Sarah A (37, born Driffield, Yorkshire) and siblings Harriet L (13, born Driffield), Earnest T (10, born Scarborough), Arthur W (9, born Scarborough), Sarah A (5, born Scarborough), Emily M (1, born Scarborough) at Sandside, Scarborough. Also in the household was Mary A Kenkinson (18, born Scarborough) a domestic servant ^[2].

In 1901 Edith was 16 and a dresmaker living with her parents Thomas P (52, a Painter, born Langtoft, Yorkshire) and Sarah A (46, born Driffield, Yorkshire) and siblings Harriet L (23, Painter, born Driffield), Arthur W (19, Painter, born Scarbourugh), Sarah A (14, born Scarborough), Emily M (11, born Scarborough) and Lizzie (9, born Scarborough) at 39 Sandside, Scarborough ^[3].

Edith married Fredrick (sic) Paul Eden in 1906 in the Scarborough Registration District ^[4].

In 1911 Annie was 26, and living with her husband Fred Eden, a house joiner aged 30, and his widowed mother Annie (72, born Flaxton, Yorkshire ^[5].

The birth of their daughter Doreen was registered in the December quarter of 1919 in the Scarborough Registration District ^[6].

Edith died aged 35 and her death was registered in the December quarter of 1919 in the Scarborugh Registration District ^[7].
