David Capel was born in Cornwall, England.

David was born in 1852. [1] He is the son of John Capel and Margaret Maddern.

On 7 April 1861 the Capel family lived in Leedstown, Crowan, Cornwall, England, John aged 37,Head of House, Miner living with wife Margaret (36) & children John S Capell (14) miner, Eliza Capell (9), David Capell (7), William H Capell (6), Matilda Capell (5), Thomas Capell (1) & Elizabeth Ann Capell (16) mine girl with Jane Maddern (24) mine girl (niece/sister??) [2]

On 2 April 1871 the Capel family lived in Gwinear Down, Gwinear, Cornwall, England [3] John Capel (46) Miner with Margaret Capel (46) and Eliza Capel (12), David Capel (10), William Henry Capel (16), Matilda Capel (14) & Thomas Capel (10).

He was killed in the Crenver and Abraham mine, accidental death, in 1871, aged 19 and was buried on 18 October 1871 at Gwinear. [4] [5] Inquest 25 October 1871 held at the Leedstown Inn. [6]
