Patrick Capper was born in Northumberland England and moved to Southampton when 6 years old and attended Atherley School, Oakmount School and King Edward VI Grammar school before moving to Bramhall Cheshire in 1956 where he attended Stockport Grammar School.
He went to Sheffield University in 1961 graduating with a degree in Metallurgy (B.Met) in 1964, and worked at Dorman Long Steel until in Dec 1967 when he married Maureen Wilkinson and emigrated to Canada to work at Iron Ore Company of Canada in Labrador City, in 1971 joined Steep Rock Iron Mines in Atikokan and from 1979 to 2006 at Algoma Steel in Sault Ste Marie, all in the iron ore through- Ironmaking part of the facilities.
He has two Children Neil Stewart Capper and Anne Louise Capper [1]
