Dock was originally buried in "Woodard Cemetery", which is off Worley Road in Princeton, Johnston County, NC (source: Funeral program and several news paper reports of the car accident and death). On Worley Road, there is a sharp 90 degree turn. In that curve there is a dirt road going through a field. The Woodard Cemetery was/is located down this dirt road on the left, where there are currently houses. Two people (Virgil Rose in 2009 and Kenneth Rose in 2015) who were at the funeral and burial of Dock Capps have placed the cemetery in this location. The aerial photo archives from the Johnston County website show two patches in the field in this location that have since been cleared/plowed. These grass and tree patches are visible in the photos from 1939, 1971 and 1988.

Sometime before the 1978 cemetery survey, the headstones were moved to Tyner/Capps Cemetery (right down the road). There is no evidence that the remains were moved.

The 1978 walking survey of the Tyner/Capps Cemetery listed DOCK CAPPS Birth: 28 May 1913 Death: 22 Nov 1940 Age: 27 Years Old

Tyner/Capps Cemetery was moved to Princeton Cemetery sometime after the 1978 survey.
