Douglas Card- prior to Ancestry.com becoming an active research engine, I personally spent over 10 years attempting to find my ancestors. I've personally found my way to "Father Adam" at least three different ways. I have "key ancestors" that I have utilized to be successful in my search.
Edward II of England opens up numerous paths. There are also other key persons that lead to Adam.
