Charles Ora Card had 4 wives and moved to Canada when the U.S. authorities were prosecuting polygamists. He founded Cardston, Alberta, Canada. He provided separate houses for each of is wives. He only took one to Canada but returned to Utah frequently.

In 1850, Charles O Card age 10 was living in Park, St Joseph, Michigan with his parents Cyrus W Card and Sarah A.[1]
