Northern Star (Lismore, NSW : 1876 - 1954), Thursday 28 October 1948. [2] MRS. E. A. HODGSON The death occurred in Lismore on Tuesday night of Mrs. Helen Smith Hodgson, 59, wife, of Mr. E A. Hodgson, of Lismore Road, Ballina Heights. Mrs. Hodgson was born in Sydney and married Mr. E. A. Hodgson in Sydney. Soon after her marriage she came to the North Coast with her husband and settled at Byron Bay for a number of years and 28 years ago came to Lismore, where she had since resided. Mr. Hodgson had been well known in Lismore, where he had conducted an engineering business for 28 years. Mrs. Hodgson is survived by a widower, four sons, Messrs. Harry (Orange), Albert, Bruce and Kevin Hodgson (Lismore), and one daughter, Mrs. Brian Grigg (Lismore). The funeral will move from St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. Lismore, today following a service commencing at 11.15 a.m. for burial in Lismore cemetery.

HODGSON There was a large attendance at the funeral in Lismore yesterday morning of Mrs. Helen Smith Hodgson, wife of Mr. E. A. Hodgson, of Lismore Road, Ballina Heights, who died in Lismore on Tuesday. A service was conducted in St. Paul's Presbyterian Church by Rev. J. R. Sweet, of Lismore, who also conducted the graveside service. Mrs. Reg McKee officiated at the organ during the church service. Pall bearers were Messrs. E. A. Hodgson (widower), B. Grigg (son-in-law), Bert, Bruce, Harry and Kevin Hodgson (sons). Wreaths were carried by Messrs. J. M. Hewitson and Hunter Ross (Scottish Royal Arch Chapter), J. Bytheway, A. Walmsley, J. Kedzlie, S. Somerville, J. Wiley and McLennan. Will Riley and Son conducted the funeral arrangements
