Duane Gene "Digger" Carey (born April 30, 1957 in Saint Paul, Minnesota) is a retired lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force and a former NASA astronaut.

1981 Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics, University of Minnesota. Married Cheryl Ann Tobritzhofer on 27 Jun 1981 in Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. [1] Joined the Air Force Reserves. During his Air Force career, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and three Air Medals.
