Anne Carey was born about 1582, [1] daughter of Sir George Carey of Cockington in Devon, and his wife, Wilmot Gifford. [2]
By a settlement dated the 21st of June 1602, taking with her £2000, she married Sir Richard Edgcumbe, son of Peter Edgecombe and his wife, Margaret Luttrell. [2] They had no children. [2]
She passed away before 1609 when her husband married again. [2] [3]
