Mary married Thomas Fauls and had the following children: John Leo Fauls 1882–1952; Ethel Ellen Fauls Gardiner 1884–1968; Agnes Theresa Fauls Cullen 1886–1955; Anna E Fauls Monighan 1888–1948; Florence M Fauls 1890–1974; Thomas Bert Fauls 1896–1951; Norbert Fauls 1897–1974; Irene Loretta Fauls 1900–1921; Raymond Edwin Fauls 1903–1903; and Angela Grace Fauls 1904–1905. Mary had 9 out of 12 children still living at the time of the census. Mary was born jul 1859 in Wisconsin, and both of her parents were born in Ireland. Thomas was born Dec 1856 in Massachusetts, USA, and his parents were born in Ireland. Thomas was a milk dealer. John L was born Nov 1882. James S was born Oct 1883. Ethel E was born Oct 1884. Agnes T was born Oct 1886. Anna E was born Jan 1888. Florence M was born Jun 1890. May I was born Jan 1895. Thomas B was born Jan 1896. Orbet W was born Apr 1897. All the children were born in Wisconsin, except May I; Thomas B; and Orbet W, who were all born in Illinois. [6]

In 1910, Mary Jane Fauls, age 50, was living in Chicago Ward 28, Cook, Illinois, with her husband, Thomas, age 52, and their children: James P, age 26, Ethel E, age 25, Agnes T, age 23, Florence M, age 19, Thomas B, age 14, Orbert W, age 10, and Irene L, age 9. Thomas and James P were asbestos insulators. Ethel was a sales lady at a department store. Agnes was a milliner at a department store. Thomas B was a stenographer at a broker's office. Irene was born in Illinois. Mary Jane had 9 out of 15 children still living at the time of the census. [7]

[Note: Mary and Thomas' son was Norbert. A milliner is someone who makes or sells hats.]

In 1930, Mary J Fauls, a widow, age 71, was living in Chicago (Districts 2627-2876), Cook, Illinois, with two of her children: Florence, age 35, and Norbert W, age 31. Florence was a bookkeeper at an attorney's office. [8]
