Biography

On 30 Jan 1897 at St Finian Waterville in the Registrar's District of Emlagh and Union of Cahirciveen in the County of Kerry, the marriage took place of Patrick Carey, full age, a bachelor and shoemaker of Emlagh, son of Patrick Carey, farmer, and Julia Bradley, full age, a spinster and -- of Kinneigh, daughter of John Bradley, farmer, witnessed by Mary Fenton, Patrick Sheehan.[1]

Patrick Carey appeared in the 1901 census of Ireland at House 4 in Kineigh, Emlagh, Kerry, age 26, born Co Kerry, occupation shoe maker, as head of family.[2]

Patrick Carey appeared in the 1911 census of Ireland at House 4 in Kineigh, Emlagh, Kerry, age 40, born Kerry, occupation shoemaker, as head of family.[3]
