Biography

Johne was baptised on 14 August 1660 in Rattray, Perthshire, Scotland. He was the son of John Cargill (abt.1620-1683) and Mary Anne (Archer) Cargill (abt.1639-).[1]

John left Scotland about (1689) during Scotch Rebellion. Moved to Londonderry, Northern Ireland.

John's children:

  • James born about 1687. (Married Phebe Smith)
  • Mary Ann died July 27, 1733. (Married Robert Kennedy.)
