Roger Edgar Carignan's New Hampshire birth certificate lists him as the posthumous child of His mother's deceased husband, Arthur Eugene Carignan. This is not possible as Arthur Carignan died nearly four years before Roger Carignan's birth. A family rumor which said that Arthur Carignan's brother, Joseph Carignan, was the actual father of Roger Edgar has been substantiate by DNA testing of a descendant of Roger Edgar Carignan.
