Biography

Mrs. Addie Carle Davis (Contributed) On February 23rd Addie Carle Davis, wife of Roy Davis of Wellington, passed away at the Eastern Maine General Hospital in Bangor, where she went only two weeks before. She has been in poor health for over a year, but has been very patient and uncomplaining, and one can say of her that a good woman has gone to her reward. In early life she gave her heart to God and has lived a Christian life under the Advent Faith. Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abner Carle of Wellington. She was married to Mr. Davis about 20 years ago and leaves eleven children to mourn the loss of a devoted mother: Elwin, Carl, Marguerite, Horice, Edward, Ruth, Dora, Lewis, Opal, Kenneth and little Ellen, who is not two years old, besides two brothers and one sister, Albert Carle, Mrs. Lena Busswell and Glenn Carle all of Wellington Funeral services were held at the church, Wednesday at 10 o'clock. Rev. Gardner Wills spoke comforting words to the relatives and friends. The flowers were many and beautiful, a silent tribute of the love and esteem in which she was held.
