"HEBER CITY -- John J. Carlile, 64, died Nov. 22, 1986.[1]
"Born Jan. 9, 1922 in Woodland, Summit County, to Alma S. and Edith Lewis Carlile.
"Married Lois Peterson June 1, 1949 in Salt Lake; later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
"Taught school for 34 years In Altamont, South Summit and Wasatch school districts.
"Wasatch High School principal for three years. Served on the Heber CIty Council four years.
"Member of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. Veteran World War II.
"Served as ward and stake clerk and on the stake high council, high priest group leader. He was a gentleman farmer.
"Survived by wife, Heber City; children, Mrs. Elisa Ropelato Ogden; John A. Corllle, Salt Lake; grandson, Trevor John Ropelato; brothers and Sisters, Lewis A. Carlile, Salem, Oreg.; Robert E. Carlile, Littleton, Colo.; Mrs. Maurine C. Spriggs and Mrs. Aleen C. Case, both Salt Lake.
"Funeral service Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Heber Stake Center, 150 North 2nd West. Friends may call at Olpin Mortuary Tuesday, 6-9 p.m. and at the stake center Wednesday one hour prior to service. Burial Woodland Cemetery."
