John Frame CARLING was born on 28 January 1859, in Mount Bevor, near Nairne, in the Province of South Australia (SA), the son of Thomas CARLING (c1821-1903) and Agnes FRA(Y)ME (CARLING) (c1831-1886).[1]
John married Lydia WRAY on 10 September 1889 in Harrogate SA (at the residence of the bride's mother Mrs Mary Wray, officiated by the Rev W H Cann).[2][3][4] The couple had eight children.
At the time of his marriage his occupation was recorded as a farmer, residing in Stephenston (near Quorn) SA. His religion was recorded as Methodist.[3]
The couple lived on a property at Stephenston (near Quorn) SA,.
John passed away, aged 51 years, on 7 June 1910, in Stephenston (near Quorn) SA.[5]
He was interred (buried) on 9 June 1910 in Quorn Cemetery, Wilmington Road, Quorn SA.[6][7]
